Care of Your Uniform
Band uniforms are very expensive and we want to keep them in the best condition so our band will look terrific. Please follow these instructions carefully:
- Keep your uniform as clean as possible, but if you do get it soiled, tell the Band Director. Don't Pack It Away Dirty.
- Have two or more pair of black socks so you will always have a clean pair to wear.
- Wash your gloves after performances.
- When packing uniforms in the band closet:
- Clean all dirty socks, gloves, or other clothes out of the bags.
- Put the Velcro on the cummerbund together so it will not pick the uniform.
- Zip the bag and hang it in numerical order.
- Wipe the inside of your hat with alcohol if needed.
- Never take your uniform home with you.
- No jewelry is to be worn with the uniform.
- Hair needs to be off the collar.
Cleaning of the Uniforms
The uniforms are usually cleaned twice a marching season. Parents usually help with taking the uniforms out of the bags and putting the pieces back into the proper bags once they have been cleaned. If you would like to help with this job, please give your name and phone number to Mrs. Vaught or Mrs. Weisser.
